Satsol67
I finaly saved up a little extra cash to get a set of Tusk Clutch Kit w/ Heavy Duty Springs and they are out of stock.. Boooo My question is. Should I wait for them or get EBC? Most of my riding isnt hard riding. More trail riding then anything alse. The reason I am going to replace them is the clutch slips when i really get on it. I have to back down so everything can catch up. If any one has some they want to part with let me know. Thanks Ron
BigRed350x
Either one is a good clutch, I've ran both and liked them both. No complaints about either one. I would just wait and get the cheaper one myself.
locogato11283
i personally would buy neither of those. ive run ebc before and tore them up quick. as for the tusk, i havent run it but i wouldnt even bother with it. im a firm beliver in the clutch you can get from FAST. its holding up well on 4mm and 10mm cub motors... gipperz
I use the clutch setup from F.A.S.T also on my 4 mil. Have'nt had a problem yet and heard many good feedbacks on it. If I were you I would call Jeff, he goes by fastoys on here.

I don't have the engine that those 2 guys do, but Id rather pay the money now for a clutch that will last then pay later.

I never ran either of them with the engine I have now, so not sure how they hold up to power. Jeff's clutch is basically just streetbike fibers and the steels are really similar to the tusk kit. I run FZR fibers and steels from the tusk kit.
odaen
The tusk clutch is pretty good. I ran one for a full season in my 4mm 80HP duner, and ran the same clutch for 3 months when I upgraded to my cub. For the mods listed in your sig, I think a $125 clutch is a waste of money. If RockyMountain has just the clutch in stock buy it, and buy 3 Toomey springs from Cascade Innovations ($3 each). You'll have a good solid clutch. Satsol67
Thanks for all the imput guys. I think I will wait until Rocky has more in. Ron
race-a-holic
MY friend has a F.A.S.T. dune port and he uses a tusk clutch.I thought it would go bad quick, but it's doing fine so far.He doesn't baby it either.
dajogejr
Another for FAST's clutch... If you're gonna buy an EBC or Barnett, Jeff's is only a few bucks more and worth it. Since you trail ride, you could easily use three HD springs and 3 stock springs. His clutch put up with a year of abuse on my stock motor, piped shee last year, and is holding up fine in my 4mil cub this year. About 20 dyno runs and 30 plus passes yesterday at the 300ft sand drags, it is going purrfect! However..you did say "save up for" a Tusk, which is about half of a normal clutch getup...so, if money is an issue, get the Tusk if you can afford to wait for it. If not, spend a few more bucks and get Jeff's...it's worth the few extra $$ IMO
