jury
i've got water leaking into my right cylinder, :baseball_getlost: i took apart my noss head and put new o-rings in(thinking that was the prob) so where else can water get into the cylinder, the crank seal?? if so how big of a pain is that, spliting the cases?? thanks
dajogejr
Either way...top end is coming off... The top of your cylinder isn't flat, the base of the NOSS head isn't flat (highly unlikely) or the oring in the cooling tube (metal elbow) is bad, leaked coolant into your cases and got sucked in by your crank seal... Hopefully it's somethin simple...good luck.
jury
well i started it up and let it run, right away water started spitting out of the radiator over flow tube, then i checked the compression and the left is 150 and the right 120, does that narrow it down to whats wrong?? dajogejr
yes and no. It tells you there's a problem in the right cylinder...that's about it. You should take off the head and cylinders, both sides. Blow some compressed air into the cases under the crank, you don't want any water down there. Take the cylinders and head to a machine shop, have the surfaces checked for flatness. Look at the gaskets REAL GOOD when taking them apart, often you can see where the water is seeping in. My guess is the tops of the cylinders aren't truely flat...or, most likely, the cylinder head itself is warped.
