Fre530d
Hello, I don't know waht bigger carbs to buy. I'm gonna have play/dune ported jugs from FAST. CPI inframe pipes. I already got a coolhead from NOSS with 20 cc domes. I'm gonna run pump gas 98 Octane. (I don't have my banshee yet but already buying stuff for it) So with this setup, will 28mm carbs like these make a big power increase : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-NEW-Bansh...sspagenameZWDVW Or maybe 30mm Keihin Style : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-30m...sspagenameZWD1V OR http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/30MM-D-slid...016165385QQrdZ1 D-slide, what's advantage or disadvantage to the ones above those? Or maybe bigger, Or maybe the 2to1 setup like this one : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Trinity-Rac...016377219QQrdZ1 Or maybe bigger, what do you guys advice, what's the best pick for me? I maybe want to upgrade later, within 2 yrs or so to a cub cyl. . THX Fred
sredish
I'd go with a pair of 30mm carbs for that motor. The 2-1 will help smooth the power some but will hold you back a little on top with that portjob. 30mm flatslides would be the ticket for top, mid and responsiveness. gipperz
You didn't say what kind of riding you do, You could ask Jeff what he would recommend, Thats what I did, Really depends on how you ride. I run 35pwk's but I ride fast trails and such. I also left myself room to go to the cubs later, can never have enough power .LoL.
RILS
I would not mess with the 30mm keihin look a likes.Ive heard alot of people having trouble with the slides in them.I run 34pjs and have no problem with the lowend, once you get in the power thye gain is worth the small loss of the bottom and i really didnt see a loss at all.I think 33pwks and up work well for most applications.I use my banshee for everything and I like the bigger carbs but they are a bit trickier to tune. locogato11283
why dont you ask jeff?? i can tell you right now that jeff will recommend no smaller than dual 33mm keihin pwk for his motor. he would prolly be more inclined to tell you 35mm. a single carb on that motor will hinder performance and i can assure you jeff would NEVER tell anyone to run a single carb on his motors. i say go with at least 33mm and possibly 35mm.. dajogejr
Since you're going dune port and CPI (drag) Pipes, we're gonna assume you don't ride, or hardly ride...slow, tight trails. A set of 35PWKs will do you very well, now...and in a while when you make the jump to a cub.

This is true, the 33s are a great carb for the enthusiast who is not looking for all out top end but great power everywhere with a dune/play port! BillyRay
I have had great luck with 35 PWK Airstrikers with dune port, 426 stroker, T5's, and K&N clamp ons. 1,000' elevation, 80-100 degrees, 158 mains, 58 pilots, needle in 4th position. Bike pulls really strong.
