It has a full yoshi pipe and a cherry bomb and has been re maped. I beat my uncle several times last weekend but i did not beat him like i should have been. only 2 times did i get a perfect launch and when i did it was not even a race i mean i could not believe how much i beat him by. But I had to really rev it up to do that from the start and i do not know if that was good on my engine, i mean i want to beat him but i dont wanna blow my engine. This is what i have been doing and tell me what i am doing wrong I start out in secound and we are usually on asphault and i rap it out pretty good and when we go i woulk the clutch pretty good at least i think so but then all the sudden i just bog real hard and when that happens he just blows by me. and i catch up to him but he wont race me far enought to where i can get into 6th gear so by the time i bog and get caught back up to him the race is over and he wins by a lenght usually so i need to know wht i am doing wrong or some tips or something. While i was wriing this i thought that mabye i was just dropping the clutch at the very end or something but im not sure any help would be greatly appericated because i wanna kick his ass every time and make him feel bad about owning a 4 poke espically one that he owes like 9000 on ba ahahahahahaha and i just bought mine and bought it built for like 3800. chase@miamiatv.com Posted August 6, 2006 Report Share Posted August 6, 2006 well since ure leaving in a hour .... your best bet is to REV THAT BITCH UP ALLLLLLLLLL THE MOTHER FUCKIN WAY , and put a stompin onto the 4 poke .... dont know if u do this , but this is how i do it ... MASH THE GAS ALL THE WAY . LAUNCH in 2nd . TAKE SECOND UP HIGH ( throttle ALL THE WAY PINNED , NEVER LET OFF ) , once your at high revs LIGHTLY pull the clutch and shift . NEVER LETTING OFF THE THROTTLE EVER . powershift the bitch . race-a-holic Posted August 6, 2006 Report Share Posted August 6, 2006 chase@miamiatv.com is right.I launch wide open.Don't let off when you shift.If you do,the rpms drop and have they have to build back up.My 350 doesn't make much torque like most don't so if the rpm's drop too much it will bog.If you shift too early it will bog.This will just take some trial and error to see what works best for you and your quad. Oh and by the way i have a stock swing arm. I raced him tonight a lil bit and he only beat mne 1 time and thats cause i rode a dam wheelie even launching in 2nd gear, ha that was kinda crazy. but any way, I think i need new clutches because sometimes well it is starting to happen more and more I feel like my whole motor is starting to shake and not all the power is getting put to the tires and i think it is the clutches. Sometimes it helps if i let off and then get back on it and sometimes it does not help if i do that. Im pretty sure thats what it is just wanting to ask your guy's opinions. im gunna get on rmatvmc.com on monday and order a new set of clutches for it. again thanks for the input chase and race a holic thanks alot you guys seem real; cool. And chase I am ready to get those BHQ stickers so i can represent at LS in a couple weeeks hope we can get that worked out by then. Later guys. hehe sorry for the ramblin been drinking a lil ........................haha ok a LOT, but just getting charged up for tomarrow. thats when the real drinking starts bahahahahahaha Oh ya I forgot to add that the raiders are playing the Eagles tomarrow in the Hall of Fame Game are they are Gunna WHOOP THAT FUCKING ASS BABY OH YA!!!!!!!! Ya I know that it is only preseason but damn the offseason is sssssooooooooooooo damn long that i am exited for the preseason even, um well ok i am exited even for the preseason every year. So hopefruuly the raiders will do better than 4-12 like tha last 2 years i bet we will go like 9-7 or 10-6 and squeek into the playoff's that would be nice ok just thought i would drop that in. Jeff's clutches are the best I've ever tried.I have them in both of our banshees. I have F.A.S.T. Racing(Jeff) clutches and a lock-up on mine and when the tires actually hook up,it pulls insanely hard.To me it's a little scary but that just means it's almost fast enough,right?LOL! barely legal racing Posted August 6, 2006 Report Share Posted August 6, 2006 yeah i always take off in 1st on pavement and lead all the way up on the gas tank and drop it, its spins the tires but only for a second then it takes off ....on dirt and sand i always take off in 2nd, and i got 13 front and stock rear.
