I have a 2003 banshee which i will be gettin some pictures of up soon but i have a question about the jetting. I ordered a set of toomey T5's and a k&n intake system and was wondering what the best jetting settings would be? these are my only engine mods so far and i am takin it to the shop without the pips or airfilter on it and wanted some numbers to give them so it would run well when i got it home and put the pipes and airfilter set up on it. i would greatly appreciate it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dajogejr Posted August 1, 2006 Report Share Posted August 1, 2006 When you say K&N intakes...do you mean a filter that sits in your airbox, or the pod filters that clamp on the back of your carbs and remove the airbox all together? Example A. With Airbox, no lid. 280 Main, stock needle on middle clip, 25 pilots (stock) 1.5 turns out on the air scew... Example B. K&N Clamp on pods, no airbox 340 Main, stock needle on middle clip, 25 pilots (stock) 1.0 turns out on the air scew... Check your plugs from there....this is only a starting point, but should be safe for your temp and altitude... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

dajogejr Posted August 1, 2006 Report Share Posted August 1, 2006 The outerwear lid is like a fine screen, that will most definately help...instead of a lid. It will not keep water and mud out but it will help with dust and dirt. You will get better performance by removing the lid...but, your call.
