Duke Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I bought some claws this weekend! I was a little worried that they would effect my riding in a negative way, but after talking to a few guys that live in my area, they convinced me they would be great. So I slapped them on and took it up the mountain onto the strip job today. I'll have to say they are f'in sweet. Got up to about 65 on the road to the mouth of the hollar and the ride was smooth. Much better than before. The extra clearance and grip I got really helped my climb up the 300 yd rocky stairstep to the top. Up top there are alot of rocky and rutted trails, and I sailed over them. Then, on the way back down a gravel road I could slide around the curves with much more control than before. I'm really happy. The only negatives I can convay would be that I did have to work the clutch a little more in 1st and 2nd to keep rpms high and since the grip was so good I couldn't do any donuts (lol). If your looking for a good rough terrian tire, I would recommend these! Quote
flipcarre Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 hmph, might have to give those a try someday, i mostly try to keep up with 4X4, and most of the big pits around here are surrounded by mud holes, hard to get through with Razrs. Quote

Same here, everyone here has utility quads. Went on a ride in the rain this weekend and I got stuck in a few mud holes. Not gonna happen again! Quote
blackandyellowshee Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 I've got bearclaws 22x12x9, they were awesome and they last a long time, but the only thing I miss is the 'snap' when you hit the throttle because they are so heavy. They are a very tough and stiff! They are awesome in the snow and mud. But I think that my next set of tires is going to be razr 2s. Quote
Dinner Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 I have 22" Dirt Devils and they hook up really good as well. And they hardly wear down at all. And as blackandyellowshee said, i too miss the snap off the throttle, but ill learn the best way to start off with them  The extra clearance is nice as well, and i think this winter i am going to get my Banshee ported, so that will help pull these tires with 13/40 gearing, then ill probably go up to 14/40, 22" and see how she likes that. peterlocal22 Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I have razrs and there great. i might buy the dirt claws too because they seem to do well with the tough terrain. i, like a lot of the other riders who have responded to this post ride with 4x4's and im sick of getting made fun of because i have a banshee. i think once i strap those tires on ill be good to go and hopefully ill blow some of the 4x4/s away.
