platinumjason
I run only benol and have had no problems with it, and after swaping out my top end the jugs/pistons look great and like everyone else said, the smell is great, my 4 stroke buddies love it. csrmel
i use to run benol but its too expensive. i finally did some calculations and found out that after i factor in the high cost of benol versus castrol grand prix 2 stroke oil from walmart for $2.30/quart, over a span of 7 years the money i save by running the cheap castrol would pay for a pair of new pistons with rings and a bore job for 2 cylinders. so will the benol protect the engine by a significantly better ammount that i could recoup the cost of pistons and bore job? i didnt think so. i run the cheapie oil now, and mix it at factory spec, 25:1. therefore, for me atleast, benol is too cost prohibitive. but i really loved the stuff. man it smelled great. everyone who rode with me loved to ride behind me. the stuff smells like youre running with a blown headgasket and burning up glycol. its just an aewsome smell. i keep a pint of it around for when i go riding at high profile areas. when youre running benol, everyone becomes youre friend.i have even seen a few 4 strokes running benol at 100:1 just for the yummy smell. ive had guys flag me down and ask me to rev my exhaust at their camp site on half choke just to flood the area with that erotic smell. i seen one dude even pour an ounce every 15 mins into his campfire.
