I am going with Alky AND NoS!

Recommended Posts

too much is just enuf. I always do that though. Im just gonna port it that will be plenty of power. 2 weeks later your buying a cub motor or a stroker crank. ITs never enuf :baseball_bat:

Exactly I did that with my Z-400. First i was going to just do the cams, then i figured since i was doing both cams i might as well put in a high comp. piston to even the motor out. Then i figured, hell i aint going to go through all the trouble of putting in a piston and keep the stock bore. Before i knew it i was getting ready to spend about 3K on a stroker. But then i realized that some kid on a piped YFZ would still probably smoke me, so i sold the Z and got a YFZ.

That started a new circle. which i am glad to say ended up with me buying my second Banshee, although i kept the YFZ this time.

Anyway, i probably wont use the NOS too much (Ya Right) :)

It might be more of a pain but i just gotta have it! I figure maybe about a 20HP shot will be plenty. Should be like what? 140-150HP? Thats enough for me.

i just got alky on my bike and ive wanted nitrous with it but i heard its bad too run together. was this guy just full of crap? if not im goin there too.

I know for a fact that cascade runs NOS with an alky motor, And i also taked to Mike from

nitrous express. He says its better to run a smaller seperate tank for race gas and mix that with the NOS. It seemed to me with all that alky and race gas and NOS it wouldnt run right but he said it will.

so when the nitrous is hit its mixing race gas through the pump instead of alky? never thought of that before.can you just run nitrous with the staright alky though? thats what id really like to do.

You guys should head over to planetsand.com to get answers to these types of question.

No offense to Lee or the brothers and sisters here on the site, but those folks over there are more hard core drag racers, and have a lot more technical knowledge about NOS, turbos, Alky, etc.

While I'd say the average memeber here is a piped and jetted banshee, over there the average is probably a big bore stroked banshee...

While I love the HQ and it's members, PS is a wealth of technical info, especially 2 strokes.

Yes, they are very "clicky" and the site has a bad habit of deleting posts that offend the "buddies", site sponsors, etc.,.... THere's still a ton of info there.
