can anyone say CAN AM?

Recommended Posts

this is a bombardier that races in BITD, he is #1Q Yes he is fast as all get up. they say those 12" wheels w/ those monster 25" tires soak up everything in its path....but i did pass him in this race :flamewar::headbang::huh:

I wish Laughin wasn't so damn far, that AVI 150 sounds sick, quads only :baseball_w00t:

i think that can am is coming out with a fuel injected 400, not a 450, from what i hear. and also the guy i know just races and races his and never has had any problems with his bike. The new brute force's do run good but ive seen them race the 800's and can am gets them by about 3-4 lengths in 300 ft.

ok you have to remember I race XC, and that remgade is grat for that,,, ive seen alot of 450s banshee, 400exs get hung up on shit while that renegade stomped right over it

hell they even say you can take that thing out on a mx track

xc is different fron just the drag

and where did u see this happen, the renegade doesnt come out til feb, just prototypes right now, shitty ones at that. the guys that deal them here went to some atv show or something in vegas or somewhere, they let them ride the 800....on guy rode it for 10 minutes and the wheel fell off when he slapped a tree with the back end, they said it was tack welded together, it wasnt a solid wheel, had a little insert that was....freakin tack welded....can am says its just a prototype that it will all be different...but who knows, nothing has ever just fallen off my yamerhammer since i bought it.....only thing that fell off was the stickers when the shee hit light speed :headbang:

umm it was there I saw it, raced it, and it was fast

The WISP gncc in MD

maybe it was a prototype model that they were testing, dunno

but dirt wheels already did a test on it

they said it shreded, and would put alot of "sport qauds to shame in XC

again i dont care about drags, that bores me

it would of had to been a prototype, and yes i have the august dirt wheels also. drags dont bore me at all, im not skilled enough to do anything else lol but that bike is like a utility, but without the racks, how u expect it to handle like a sport bike? all i was talking about was DRAG RACING....thats it. I said it would blow any sport bike away...cant compare it to a freakin sport bike handling, it has twice as much ground clearence, twice the weight, 4X4, and probably half the handling.

I'm pretty excited about Can Am being on the stage again and would love to own a sport quad made in north america. What is being compared here is oranges to cinder blocks. My muscle car buddies talk about displacement, displacement, displacement(even if they are turbo charged). So a 800cc is almost twice the displacement as a 450 but not twice as heavy. It's more than twice the size as our beloved banshee. What if you double the 800 or double the etc.... it becomes a different animal I'm looking forward to air conditioners! The best for me would be Am Can efi 450 2 stroke w/single rear axel. :baseball_w00t:

those Praires and all ghe other big bore 4x4 beasts , are impressive,, the newer big bore 4x4s are not the same as 10 years ago, when the honda rancher was the king

trust me ive seen them ina ction raced them, and at the start line they can take alot of 450s, banshees, and whatever else ,,, look at mike penland,, hes putting lap times in as fast as some of the pros on 450s

dont care what you say,, thats impressive!

I thought Can-am was a subdivision of Bombardier ? No buy outs ?

ya the Utes now a days are amazing. The Praires and Brute Forces without IRS are very popular racers. The Bombardier\Can-am's are dominating the two GNCC Ute classes. Mike Penland now rides for Can-am after many many years of riding for Kawasaki. The Outlander had some relibility issues when they were first released, but the race teams now seem to have the bugs worked out of em. The Outlander is a nice Ute, but the new Can-am racer seems to be the new king of the hill. My cousin races the Ute classes in District 6, AGP and a few GNCC's every year. He's riding a '06 Rincon right now. Slowest quad of all the big bore Utes, but the guys like em cause the other big bore Utes are sometimes a handfull racing in the woods. Anyone familiar with Jim Stack ? Stack raced a Rincon last GNCC season with alot of success. He won at Unidilla last year on a Rincon. My cousin's last quad was an '05 Suzuki King Quad. And that was a good quad too, but it had relibility issuses and parts seems kinda cheaply made. We raced his King Quad at the mudfest at Rausch Creeks' Maxxis 6-hour race. We raced around for 4 hours before we had to quit because of a broken rear drive axle. He bent the first axle early in the race and we replaced it with our spare, then around 2 hour mark we broke another rear axle. We mig welded it back together, in the pit, during a steady rainfall, under a race canopie.... covered in mud. He raced it for another 2 hours. That was the King Quad. He bought Gorrilla brand axles for it and bent\broke those racing D-6 races. Sold the suzuki a few months ago. Our team raced the Maxxis 12-hour last year on a 750 Brute Force. You guys who think these utes are slow should try riding a modified 750 BF :baseball_w00t: Elka shocks all the way around it, Bighorn tires on billet rims. We came in second place at the 12-hour race. The big Kawasaki ran great. We had a few small problems, one bigger problem and we had one flat tire, but other than that... the BF was a great racer. This cousin of mine, Lance, writes for ATVScene's website, he does the Utitily quad reviews. Lance and my good freind Eric also brought to ya's the first live ATV race webcast last year when they covered the Maxxis 12-hour event. They worked with ATVScene on this project and they covered the whole 12 hours of the race and it broadcast live on ATVScene. They will be flying out to Texas in October to run the broadcast of this years 12-hour race. You guys should watch the webcast. The race is October 31'st, Halloween night.

hell ya I can talk about racing Utility quads all day long

I could move some piles of dirt with my John Deer front loader one day and take it to the road race track the next.

Now thats pretty cool
