2stroker4ever
Okay, I just got a quart of AMSOIL 10w40 to put into my tranny, and I just need to know how much to put in?
9603banshee
1 and 1/2 (1.5) quarts total.....so you just need another 1/2 quart and you're good to go......if you have a lockup it takes approx. 1 and 3/4 (1.75) quarts total.... jbooker82
Manual says 1.5 L witch is a little more than 1.5 quarts. I believe that the clutch cover also says 1500 CM3 wich is the same thing as 1.5L.
Animalman294
The lock-up takes 1.75 good to know I was wondering that a little while back, because I am getting one with the new cub.............
2003LimitedBanshee
1.6 US quarts for a change, 1.8 US quarts on a total disassembly. I personally put 1.8 quarts in every change. I always warm the bike up by riding around for a few minutes, then drain and refill. I put 1.6 quarts in on my first change, years ago, and it didn't seem to fill it up to my liking. TREELIZARD
I always put 2 quarts in for the oil change. the extra oil will help prevent the ball from welding itself to the push rod
