chase@miamiatv.com
Have a project " white widow " in effect . I wanted to have the frame extended . WHO can do this, that has done it before . Any which direction you can send me in that would assist in my completion of my project ? any idea what it will run me $$ wise. Whos the man with the knowledge and the know how , that is what i want to pay for.
BigRed350x
If you are stretching forward just cut it right in front of your steering stem tower and straight down from that on the lower frame rails, then weld in some tubing. You will have to make a custom mount for your steering stem bearing but that's pretty much it. I've done two for some guys here in town. I also put a gusset in on the tubing I put in there to keep it rigid. Edited July 17, 2006 by BigRed350x

This will be going down in about a month after i get back from my vacation. Yeah I could do it for you if you really want. The shipping cost from you to me and me back to you would be more than what the job is worth though. Cut there. On the lower part you want to cut before the frame ramps up for the front suspension so you don't screw up the geometry. The front end has like a

dajogejr
Head over to Planetsand.com, Chase... Those guys are hard core drag racers, period. They could probably tell you 10 shops that'll do that...probably one within driving distance I'd imagine. Sorry...Red. Not trying to take $$ out of your pocket...but, that shipping, etc. would probably be a pain!!
chase@miamiatv.com
i really am thankful for the advice ... i got confidence in red and would rather pay the shipping differnces . Red seems to always know what hes doing therefore i wouldnt have no bad vibe in my mind that he could not do it for me correctly.

cdwood37
I am welder and have streched a frame or two and have built a few swingarms, bumpers skidplates and so on and so forth, its really simple but if you take it to a shop near you it will cost a bunch because of the custom factor, its not everyday that people walk into a welding shop and ask for a banshee frame to be extended, just my opinion, how much you looking to extend it? Not trying to take $$ out of your pocket...but, that shipping, etc. would probably be a pain!! No worries, I wouldn't charge much for it anyway, just materials. I work in a machine shop now and do crap like that all damn day. Shipping is a pain when it comes to stuff that size. Finding the time to do it would be the hard part. I work 10hr days and when I'm not working I'm working on the banshee or out riding. Not to mention taking care of the house. I need 36hr days to function like I need. I'm still open the idea chase, if you can't find something that will work for you let me know and i can do it. I've done two of them before, a 6" and a 10" extension for guys around here. The 10" seemed pretty long to me, but I probably don't do the same sorta stuff he had planned. Edited July 18, 2006 by BigRed350x
