johnautobus
Having trouble getting banshee to start first time each day. It takes 15-20 kicks to start. After once starts seems to start ok. Also seems to make popping noise on deceleration. otherwise it runs fine. . . Could I have a crankseal leak or base gasket problem causing a lean condition? I have tried rejetting, changed timing on dyna-ignition but problem still there. changed coil, plugs. compression 160 psi, jets 310,32.5,120 octane. sea level, t-5 ,lid off. does anyone have some suggestions. fastbanshee8
Try turning in your air mixture screws, a 1/4-1/2 turn each, and see if that helps.
trueraiderfan
I thought if it cut out speeding up your lean and if it cut out slowing down your rich
fastbanshee8
I was told, years ago, from a local builder/racer, that hard cold starting, was a sign of being too lean, and I've experienced the same problem as stated above. I just turned in my air mixture screws, to richen up the pilot circuit, and it ended the cold start problems.
