blackandyellowshee
Ok, I got a new carb because the old one was stripped on the top, and the old TORS was stripped too. I replaced all the parts in the carb fine but the new TORS didn't come with a needle or anything so I have to take it off of the old one. My problem is that I can't seem to get it off. Is there a screw somewhere that I can't see? oh and btw, it is like gummed up with black gunk so I can't see much inside. Thanks
dajogejr
I'm assuming you mean the needle in the slide. Compress the spring with your fingers, and tip the slide upside down. A brass insert will fall out, then jiggle the cable out of the slide. The slide will have two screws holding the cable tower down, remove them, and the tower will fall out. The needle will come out next. At this point...you're best off to get a TORS removal kit...but, to each is own....

I can't count the number of times I lost that damn brass thingy in there. LOL
