bansheefourseven
Ive heard quite a few people on here say that the 1996 banshee was the best year banshee. Whats different? I thought they were all the same other than the J-arm years and graphics. I happen to have just bought a 96 shee and it looks pretty much normal. I heard someone say something about the displacement of something??? what could it be ? Its the same motor right? Based on the RZ 350 streetbike motor. I thought they were identical? Can anyone help me out?

BenBB
I'm kinda partial to the '96...just 'cause I've got one heh. Brandon's '01 is faster than my '96 was with the about same mods tho, but they ARE all essentially the same as others have mentioned, motor-wise the only difference is how much wear/abuse they've had and how well they were cared for/broken in... BigRed350x
You are all mistaken, the 97's were clearly the best.

sheefreak
I always thought that the newer the better. Not if you are building a stock framed dragger.
dajogejr
You are all mistaken, the 97's were clearly the best. Can you even call that thing a 97 anymore... :yelrotflmao: I can tell you 96 and 95 have a different wiring harness...since I got my new Stator yesterday and my dyna today. Other than that...the A or J arms is the biggest thing. And of course, color and graphics. And, to answer your question, 96 is the best.
**BrAnDoN**
Not if you are building a stock framed dragger. What do you mean? Are the older Shee's frames lighter or what!?! :baseball_wassat:
sheefreak
Yes. Older J-arm frames are a hair lighter, but just cause of the J-arm. I am not sure if they are any lighter stock because the stock j-arms are so beefy. But aftermarket, the j-arm will be lighter.
