rx4_coop
Banshee runsd fine for 10 mins or so but when it gets ot it seems to run on 1 cylinder down low idle seems fine, maybe misfiring a tad, but down low it loses all response and runs on 1 cylinder however when it hits powerband its fine pulls good, but a little flat if anything so it just bogs down at low rpm at any gear, and the longer you keep going after it starts happening the worst it gets been right through the carbies, everything is mint only possible tihng i can think of is low speed coil in the stator any1 else had any similar issues? Handyman
Not to be an a**hole but do a search on the boards. There have been many threads about one cyclinder not firing. Every problem has had a different solution but the steps for trouble shooting are almost the same. or the first step......look at your jetting........It would be greatly beneficial if you gave us some stats on where you are locatied and what has been done to the motor. rx4_coop
yeah done most of the obvious stuff, trimmed leads, checked caps, replaced plugs, carbs are mint, clean as a whistle its only happens after 10 mins of riding which is the bit which is different to most other peoples problems it will be fine for 10-15 mins, and the start missing down low but be fine on powerband, and as you keep going, obviously bike getting hotter it gets worst, until itll only run on 1 cylinder almost all the time so im thinking that spark is not string enough to fire both cylinders as it gets hotter, which makes me think low speed coil? however most of the time it will idle ok? one occurence happened where its mainly the right side that wont run, but i watched it swap sides to the left, and fire the left at idle for a while and then it swapped back to the left so its as if theres not enough to fire both cylinders at once when its hot? plug wire swapping seems to make no difference
dajogejr
I'm confused by your answer... Are you saying when you swap coil wires...the problem does the same on the other cylinder?
