ScreamingLiL2Stroke
If its just a stock 350 chevy motor from that era it dont have alot of power, but alot of guys hooked up the malibus motors for street racing because they are considered one of the best cars for hooking"getting traction" on the street. nomad
WOW! I actually couldn't find the information either online. I only searched for 30 minutes, but that's about 28 minutes more than I usually need. I found numerous places where there are people to contact regarding the info.(collectors, engine restorers, etc.), but, like you, couldn't find it outright. Everything I found would have either required a phone call or an e-mail to obtain the specifications. Good luck and don't crush'em...restore'em! speedfreak350
actually i think they were rated at 250hp and about 300 tourqe or so. A 4door is much to be trying to race around in if it were a 2 door then it would be a different story.
bansheefreak
a 77 malibu 2dr is a big ass car and then add 2 more doors.. not something you wanna be racing.. but i will say there is not many malibus that yr with 350's in them most had a 305... i used to own one. they are tanks.. seem mine hit an escort. pushed the rear of his car to the backseat and the malibu drove off with a scuff on the front bumper... liquedfire
well i do alot of demolition derby and a good running 350 is about 175 hp and around 220 foot lbs of torque but u cant kill them i even go as far a getting a ford ltd or crown vic car and switching the motor 2 a chevy lol way better motor but you could easily get power out of them hope this helps Glenn
it's stolen
my 77 camaro had 160 hp. I think most of the car 350s were all the same engine.
01bansheeke
if your gonna get it...do it up gangsta Seriously if you want to "race" and want to leave the motor alone don't plan on goin fast. This car had a built 400 with tons of goodies..and it was a flat out turd. If you aren't pushin 500 plus horsepower with these heavy ass cars you aren't going to get anywhere very fast. Animalman294
160-175 for a 350, thats pathetic for a 350 even that old. I would be leaning towards the 250 range, especially the larger cars...................
