Steamhammer*Germany* Posted July 10, 2006 Report Posted July 10, 2006 Hi Guys, over the big sea! I am a men, 32 Years old, living in Germany, that is the reason, why my english is not so good as yours, but i hop that you understand me. The whole winter i was in my garage, working on my banshee, around 500 hours, changed nearly everything on these great quad, but not the motor, because i do the motor mods in the next winter, will come for sure. The prob, what i have at the moment, is that i have no good working rpm display, becuase mine, a acewell, shows me in the low range a little bit higher rate as it is, like 1300 and the motor runs on 1000, but at the top it shows to less, i mean it displays around 7500, but the motor is running on 9500-10000. Which rpm meters do you guys use and show they the correct rpm or is it like mine too? Maybe you can post me an url! With best regards Steamy Quote
dajogejr Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Try googling for a trail tech banshee tachometer... Can't say I've seen 'em...but I can't say they don't exist. What are you looking to gain by putting a tachometer on your banshee, by the way? Just curious... Quote
Steamhammer*Germany* Posted July 11, 2006 Author Report Posted July 11, 2006 Hi, i allready have a tachometer on me shee, but the rpm, in these tachometer, don't work so good as it should normally work! Wbr Steamy Quote
ssanddemon Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Not many people using a tachometer on their banshee. Just shift gears when it starts running out of power- big rpm does not hurt the motor at all; it's a 2- stroke. Quote
ojcool Posted July 11, 2006 Report Posted July 11, 2006 Just guessing but I would think that your symptoms may be by, lets see....... incorrect wiring. Your going to have to give just a tad more infromation, like, where your picking up your signal. and is your tach even supposed to work on a banshee Quote
dajogejr Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 True...is this tach designed to work on a CDI style ignition for a two stroke? I agree...unless you're bracket racing and for money, I'd do away with the tach...shift when the power runs off, or just a fraction before it does.... Quote
