2K1Banshee350
dude i think the best back up bike is the blaster my friend also has one of thoes and that thing takes a beating. i mean his bike broke down this winter and we kick the shit out of it all winter long and it still runs like a champ all you got to do is put gas and oil in it and your good to go. oh and the raptor is 33in wide in the rear and 36in wide in the front so that could have something to do with it being so tippy :yelrotflmao: u mean its 43 inches wide, but yeah they are slow revving and tippy. they acually like to grab traction too, so its the opposite of the banshee. i personally didnt care for my 01 or any others ones ive ridden
Animalman294
Even with all of their problems they are a good runnin bike and need a little more respect on the corner's I guess................ :yelrotflmao:
nomad
Yamaha made all the right changes between the 660 and 700. The 660 has all of the handling issues mentioned, but the 700 is lowered a bit and widened. Yamaha obviously listens to their customers. I was going to buy one, but when I found out that '06 was the last year of the Banshee I had to go that route for now. The Banshee is a quad icon and the Raptor is still improving each year. I will have another tough decision to make after buying Sheera....buy a Raptor or finally get my '84 KXT restored. While I love the sound of 2 strokes, the torque of a 4 stroke is undeniable. And EFI is 21st-century-cool on an ATV IMO.

Animalman294
I've heard a lot more people like the raptor 700 than the YFZ450............
jbooker82
I Like both my banshee and 03 LE Raptor. I have done quite a bit of engine work to it. 4mm stroker crank, 2mm over bore piston, Stage 3 Hot Cam, Kenz ported head, Kibble White valves and valve springs. It is a fun machine to ride. Deffinatly a sleeper with a stock swing arm.
helldriver
I had a rappy 660, and used it for GNCC racing up till this year, the bike itself had plenty of power, gobs of low end torque,,, and its not as tippy as people say, that gets exagerrated,, put a wider axle on it, and maybe some wider a arms, and its fine i had no problem doing GNCC with it, with some basic mods it can rip Edited July 16, 2006 by helldriver
