Guest WICKED ATV
I got a set of 420 Big bore cylinders on their last bore and hone. Would it be cheaper to buy a set of cheetah cubs or to have these resleeved with the 420 big bore sleeves? This top end is pretty powerfull its ported also and i like the power but if its cheaper to go with the cubs thats what im gonna do. thanks. I don't know about the price of the 420 shinity kit but I would go with cubs regardless of price. Cubs are way better than stock cylinders, even with a big-bore kit. There were some guys at walden this weekend with the 420 kit and I wasn't turned on at all by it. Stock ported bikes ran right past them. Ruko
Price wise it would be cheaper to resleeve your cyl's, but performance wise the cub's would be better.

bad99banshee
why all the ragging on Trinity?
Guest WICKED ATV
why all the ragging on Trinity? I don't know. I must be one of the lucky ones because i haven't had any problems with them so far.
BigRed350x
why all the ragging on Trinity? because they make crap any more. Back when they first came around they were ok, but now they have gotton so big that they have lost touch with the customers. They have a LOT of DIFFERENT people doing DIFFERENT port jobs for the same price. I even heard they have some high school kids working in their machine shop doing some of the porting. Stick with the smaller companies that still have the hands-on approach with their work. well trinity maybe shitty but i watched a fat ass 325 lb man riding a drag ported 420 big bore on 110 race fuel an he managed to pic the front end up through 5th gear out on holly beach louisiana. but yeah if i can get the money i would like to have the cubs. You can make a stock banshee do that with a little gearing. LOL

BigRed350x
people hate trinity on here cause they are jealous,, trinty make great stuff, i mean its a TRINITY banshee that wins pikes peak every year people would rather go with a guy who has a backyard business cause he is either friends with someone oh here, or they are a BHQ sponser,, and i have heard a few bad things recently asbout one of those backyard shops on here bottom line trinty makes good stuff, and most people whos bikes ive seen have been built by trinity have never had any problems outside of regualr maintiance,, and that goes with any bike you mod Every trinity bike I've EVER seen around here was broke down on a trailer. I saw one of those 420cc big bore kits at walden and there were stockers with pipes, filters, and mild port jobs, with STOCK carbs that outran it. Then it broke down later that weekend. The guy with the 420 kit got off and was looking at my engine and I asked if he wanted to race and he said "are you kidding, I couldn't touch that thing" I didn't have some backyard guy do my porting, K&T is a big-name builder and holds the record at sand mountain last time I checked. Go with the cubs man, they will run better than your big bore, hands down. If nothing else, get the cubs and run them then see how they compare to the 420 kit. shanYE west
I just think their customer service sucks. But my cousins banshee has a trinity motor and it runs pretty strong... especially for a stock stroke and bore.
FMS50
I quess everyone has theyre own opinion on who sucks and who is good. I have never used any other shop besides Trinity so I cant really say how they compare to others but I can say that here in Southern California they are really popular. And I have never had a problem with any work they have done for me. I havent had them work on my banshee yet but they did work on a Blaster that I have and they built a pretty fast 250R ATC for me a few years ago. Being that I havent had any problems with them makes me not want to try anyone elses work because im comfortable with Trinity. Im not saying anyone elses work sucks Im just saying that me personally I havent had any problems with Trinity so far and James Welch always treats me with respect when I go in there to purchase something and that means alot to me. Im sure there are alot of other awsome shops out there and thats the joy of competition.

I thought the question was would it be cheaper to do one than the other not does trinity suck.I would say that if you allready have the cylinders have them resleeved but if you want more power go with a cub but resleeving will run you about 250-300 and a cub is about 875.I cannot comment on trinitys porting to much i raced one the other day with a bigbore and stage4 porting not sure how big the bore was but I stomped all over him with a 65mm bore on a stk stroke on that set of cylinders that most people said they wouldnt run, turned out they ran very well.On the other hand I run trinity pipes and im very happy with them they seem to respond well with every thing else that i do to the bike.
