Taking apart shocks

Just bought a used pair of Pep's shocks and want to get the springs powder coated as they are chipped and what not and was thinking I probably need a special tool to compress the springs back down. I have one already for when I did my trucks and was thinking that could probably work?

Oh yeah, I know how dangerous these things can be but Im sure the tool I got should work out otherwise I wouldnt consider doing it myself.

Be sure to back the tension all the way off of the spring. If you run into any problems you can send the shock to us and we'll remove it (Free of charge). We are just over the Michigan border so it is only a one day return via UPS.
