Recommended Posts

right off Douglas' site

"STANDARD STRENGTH. Our "BLUE LABEL" wheels are made from .125 inch thick material, and are ideal for use in dunes and recreational riding. Certain "BLUE LABEL" wheels are available with a center plate reinforcement, designated with an "R" in the description of the wheel.

HIGH-STRENGTH LIGHTWEIGHT. Our "BLACK LABEL" wheels are made from .160 inch thick material, and are designated for competion use, in such events as TT's and Flat Track.

SUPERSTRONG. Our "RED LABEL" wheels are made from .190 inch thick material and are virtually indextructible, yet still very light. They are designed for rough use such as desert, cross country, clay tracks, and Moto-Cross. "

Ya right, my wife bends the shit out of her red labels.

I have black lables on mine. They bend real easy. Some times I just nick a tree trail riding. I can hardly even feel it. Get back from riding and the rim flange is bent out a little. Most of the time i dont even know when it happend. These things seem to be made out of butter. I would hate to see what the blue lables are like.

The previous owner put these wheels on. Glad he saved a couple of bucks and went the cheap way :shoothead: instead of getting the red lables. I dont know if i would even buy douglas wheels after owning these.
