Although the prices have gone up a bit because the cost of materials have shot through the roof (fucking china.) When shopping for suspension parts, you have to remember that your life depends on the quality and strength of some of these products. guttedEF Posted June 25, 2006 Report Share Posted June 25, 2006 (edited) ASR = American Star Racing Just look up a-arms on EBay and you'll see them. You can get a set with tie rods for under $400. I bought their stainless lines and everything and haven't had one issue and I beat on my bike pretty good. I don't abuse it but I ride MX atleast once a week. Maybe it's just me, but I don't have $600 for the same shit just so it will say LSR or whatever. I know Gary that makes Quicksand BTW, because he lives local to me in AZ. He does make an awesome part and is an awesome guy. He himself told me that the only thing he doesn't like on ASR is their Heim joints, which are replaceable without replacing the whole arm. But like I said, zero problems for me. BTW, ASR does have a website as well, but for some reason the prices their are almost double Ebay. Call and ask them. Pair them up with a set of elka or works rec series shocks and that's all you need for a weekend warrior. Big difference over stock and light on the wallet. I've never ridden on or even seen a set of ASR arms in person, so I really cant say much about them. Although differentstrokes is right, a lot of companies selling suspension parts just purchase their arms through ASR and slap their logo on them. It's pretty funny seeing some guys on here talk shit about ASR and praising their setup even though it's all made by the same company. I wasn't trying to make Quicksand seem like the only option, my post was just in general. I've seen some nasty shit because of failed heim joints or bad welding. If by any chance you would be interested in LSR parts the best place to go to is John at Sandtoyz Unlimited. He's the largest distributor for Lonestar parts. A lot of dealers buy LSR stuff from him, you can reach him at (818) 500-7228 You don't have to apologize for anything. All that hooplah is over with.
