woodro77 Posted June 23, 2006 Report Share Posted June 23, 2006 motor is totally rebuilt , new top end , bottom end got new seals and checked out , started it up and it makes noise out of bottom end , brought it to the mechanic and he said it is not crank maybe clutch. went home took it a part and the gear on the clutch hub is loose , not sloppy loose but if i grab the hub with one hand and the gear with the other and twist it will move back and forth a 1/4 of a inch, any body have this problem and do you think this will make noise in the bottom end, please help want to finally ride this pos Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
400rednEX Posted June 23, 2006 Report Share Posted June 23, 2006 if it just moves back and forth i don't think it's making the noise, the basket isn't wobbly is it? the little rubber bushings in your stock basket are wore out. you need to buy an aftermarket billet basket and put your stock gear on it. i got mine from f.a.s.t. for around $160 i think. my stock basket's fingers were grooved too.
