RILS Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) I just bought a set of aggressive dune/drag cylinders to put on while i get mine ported.The guy that i got them from was running 34 pjs with cel needles with 42 pilots and 145 mains with t5s and 140 psi.Im planning on running them with the stock carbs to begin with [dont want to spring for new carbs now] Im running trinity pipes 180 psi[18cc noss head] pods and Im running 340main 27.5 pilot stock needle on the 4th clip 2 turns out on the air screw.It seems a little rich in the middle now but i havent had time to mess with it.My elevation is around 1000ft and the guy i bought them from was around 600ft.Do yall think i will need to rejet if so any suggetions? dajogejr Posted June 19, 2006 Report Share Posted June 19, 2006 Porting is a wild card.... Sometimes they'll flow more effciently with smaller jets compared to a stock port motor. Sometimes they'll crave the shit out of fuel and huge jets. it's best to go out and buy 3 or 4 pair of plugs and start looking.... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RILS Posted June 20, 2006 Author Report Share Posted June 20, 2006 Thats exactly what i was thinking.Im going to try it like it is and ive got the jets on hand to go up or down the biggest thing ive got is a 360 maybe i wont have to go any higher than that.
