RIPPEN
Are you all sure its the HQ that's "causing" these viruses? I haven't had a single problem other than that initial incident that Lee already addressed. Regardless, it's always good practice to run spyware protection and a virus check daily with all the boogers out there on the net  Yesterday afternoon HQ was the ONLY site I couldn't get onto. Tried a half dozen times and everytime I did, it would try to download shit and and my virus blocker or whatever would go ape shit. It is getting old as Brooke mentioned and I also think it kinda weird that its doing this more consistantly since the change.. However, I know Lee takes allot of time to try and keep HQ updated and sharp. There are a few things of the old setup had that I liked more than what we have got now, but thats all good, I can deal with it. Just the viruses that REALLY suck :baseball_getlost: RIPPEN

Now as far as spyware, Im not sure which ones are good now, but I do know that a lot of the ones you pay for (or have a free version), will infect you with more crap to try and get you to pay more. NEVER download anti-spyware programs from a pop-up add. Best solution, stop using windows. Edited June 16, 2006 by dawarriorman

dawarriorman
You people might want to search on the viruses you've gotten, Ive seen some before that you can't get rid of by just hitting a button (as in no, norton can't get rid of it). You have to go into safe mode, delete registry keys, edit files and so on. It could just be that you think you've gotten rid of the virus, when you really didn't. Especially now with the rootkits some of these things have come up with :: , you can't get rid of them easily at all. They manage to hide files so well that you don't even know they are there.
