98bonerSTOCKshee
I was also wondering, i was running 14/41 with my normal tires (dominators) and was spinning off the line in 2nd easy, but when i changed to pro wedges i could not take off in 2nd so i went to 1st. So now i geared it 16/40 and will be taking off in 1st - 4th or 5th gear. Is this ok or should i just gear it 2nd to 6th with 13/41? Changing to a 16 gives you a higher top speed. If it bogged with the 13 it's really gonna bog now... 1 tooth up front equals about 3 on the rear... Bigger up front = top speed... Bigger in the rear = more torque... later, Chad
wesw
i put 14-43 on my pw2 and it takes off in sec pretty good. might try that. you have to realize its a 22 inch tire that can actually swell and get bigger. they are a big ass tire is what im gettign at. 420_Big_Bore
They are sure a big tire! So should i go 14/43 or 13/41?.....or......gear it up so that i will be taking off in 1st?
wesw
my bike i cant go from first to sec under power it grabs neutral everytime. so i set my shit up for sec gear starts. i fyou can shift like silk then gear it some starting in first but i would say 15-41 with 22 should be plenty. depends on how long you race. 300 ft here usually 4 gear crossing the line. who knows. 420_Big_Bore
i race 200m. So it doesnt matter if you cross the line in 4th? I always thought its best to cross the line in top gear, top revs.
