jetted out,need help!

Here is the deal. I have a pretty much stock motor, last year i put a in the box clamp on K&N with a K&N power lid, rejetted-ran great. I just put V-force3 reeds, scary fast power nows, and a dyna FS ignition-running the stock curve. When i was rejetting i bent a stock needle so i put Vitos needles for the stock carbs in. For now the pipes are stock. Im at 1200' running 27.5 pilot at 1.5 turns out a 300 main jet on the 3rd clip 80 degrees out. It starts first kick, idles good, good to quarter throttle then stumbles bad from quarter to half or alittle more, then cacthes up and goes like hell. ive tride the 2nd and the 4th clip and its the best on the 3rd. The plugs that were in there were pretty bad so i had to put in a brand new set, so its hard to tell the color till they burn in. Just wondering if someone could give me some info. Am i to big or to small on the pilot or the main jet? Thanx.

I can't see you needing a 27.5 pilot or 300 main jet without pipes.

I believe the Vito's needles are longer than stock, correct?

Longer, but more tapered...

Without pipes, I"m thinking you're way rich...

Try stock pilots, (25) and 250 mains.

Figure you can bump up the main a little from stock for a better air filter and lid...and lean the needle one for the VForce.

Once you get pipes...you'll need 280 to 300 main jets...

Yes, the vito needles are longer and more tapered than the stock ones. If i drop the pilot and the main should i go to the second clip on the needle? Ill probably try it both ways 2nd and 3rd but thanks alot for the reply.

If the Vito's needles are similar to Toomey (dynojet) needles, stock position is 4th clip from blunt end (6 grooves total, vs. 5 grooves for a stock needle)

Normally...you bump the needle up one (leaner, towards blunt end) when you add reed cages...

50/50...some do...some don't...

If you lean your mains an pilot it will also lean the needle might want to leave the needle where it is and go from there.

Ill try it on the 3rd first. The vito needles have 5 grooves like the stock ones so ill start in the middle and go from there. I thought i was pretty rich but you guys confirmed it. Ive built 4strokes before but this is the first 2 stroke ive done. Ive done alot of research on pipes and i think im going with the Starting line products pipes. I know they build some awsome shit for snowmobiles. Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Regardless of what some people say its good to get other opinions.

I cant comment on those pipes ive never heard or had any experince with them.Im running trinity stagelvs and they are badass alaround pipes.Ive heard a lot of good things about toomey ,fmf and pcs.If your looking for more topend cpi may be worth looking into.As for your jetting when you put any pipes on beprerared to do it all over again. With the clampons and pipes you will proably end up putting the 27.5 pilot back in and between a 320-340 main.
