platinumjason
Well got my CPI pipes with Cascade silencers that I bought off ebay and find out their not spark arrested like the seller had said. So now, Im insearch of a clamp on spark arrestor big enough to fit the Cascade silencers. They measure 3.5" OD. Anyone know where to find some? Also wonder, The left head pipes is the only one with the CPI stamp on it, does CPI only stamp one of their head pipes per set? the right has nothing on it. dajogejr
Magic Racing in Utica, MI will have them. You may not be able to find it on their website...but if you call them, they'll fix you up. 586-254-9117... They have a toll free number too on their site...but, the local number works for me here in MI... That's where I went for my sparkys on my Toomey silencers... And the good thing is...you pay for snail ground shipping, and usually if you order by 6PM, you'll have it next day via UPS since you live in MI too... IamKazam
Why did you have to get the cascade silencers?
platinumjason
I didnt have to but if I were to get checked CPI's are way too loud. They're just what came with the pipes. I was also told by the seller they were spark arrested.
IamKazam
R u serous, I'm pretty sure my rockets wont pass at silver lake then. I might have to pick up a set of those cascade silencers, but I dont know how they will flow with sparkys. My fattys with spark arrested silencers just passed at 92d. I think state law is like 94 or something

platinumjason
my cpi pipes has cpi racing on both pipes not just one Kind of worried about that, being I hear that most pipes that are stamped versus ones that arent make a few HP power difference. sheefreak
CPI's will pass at Silver Lake. The rule is 94 db, but they will tolerate up to about 98. There are way louder four strokes that get in than CPI piped Banshee's. Pipes won't flow that much different w/the Sparky's, just make sure they don't get gummed up. dajogejr
I have never seen them check sound at Silver Lake....only ORV, state park pass...and your flag's gotta "clank" the height bar as you enter... However....with a busy holiday weekend, they might be a little more restrictive...
sheefreak
I have been stopped twice in 4 yrs of riding there w/FMF's, and you are correct, both were on busy weekends.

Aha...only been there twice...once last year, once this year. Both dead weekend. Put it this way...didn't even have to wait in line for a voucher...the station was closed. Plan on making quite a few trips this year!! However, if you ever ride at the Mounds (Mt. Morris) they do everything but get the rubber gloves out to check your ATV... platinumjason
Yeah I was checked for sound also at Silver Lake 2 years ago. Bone stock with the exception of my paddles tires. Also I contacted Cascade about machining a spark arrestor end cap for their silencers, they said they are in the process of doing so right now but are not sure if they will be spark arrested. As far as the stamping only on one side, Cascade said they stamp both pipes with their CPI Racing logo but if I only got one side stamped to consider it a bonus

After rereading it, I can see thats not what you intended.
