dajogejr
Boys and girls...quick question. I know how to Ohm out the stator...and I believe the specs are like 17 and 117...or something like that... However, my question is can you ohm it out off of the bike? Does it have to be grounded to the bike, behind the flywheel...or, since you're just measuring resistance...can it be unbolted? Thanks!! Daj... ssanddemon
Yep, to check a connection thru the stator, just connect one of your leads to the stator base plate or timing plate body- that's ground on the stator. The other to the connector spade you are testing.
dajogejr
Well...to be honest, it tested within spec off the bike. One side was 17Ohm...the other was 117, just as it should be!
