kb7kuh Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 Ok iwas wondering what everybody thinks about this. I just got and installed one. They say that you can coast with the clutch in without welding the ball to the shaft in the clutch. Quote
race-a-holic Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 I use one.Heard it helps keep them from welding but doesn't guarantee it. Quote
kb7kuh Posted June 7, 2006 Author Report Posted June 7, 2006 (edited) I will be trying it out this weekend and will report back. I have heard that they have over a year with no failures as of yet. With my luck, I would be the first Edited June 8, 2006 by kb7kuh Quote

yyz Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 also called the pancake bearing mod... awesome for drag racing because you don't get as much pressure plate vibration sitting on the line revving prior to a launch... the bike then has less of a tendancy to lunge forward when revving with the clutch dis-engaged... supposed to increase drag racing clutch life as well... yyz Quote
kb7kuh Posted June 19, 2006 Author Report Posted June 19, 2006 (edited) So far so good. I held in the clutch going down a long hill and all worked well. I will be doing a little drag racing this weekend at the Albany Or. track and will see what happens. Edited June 19, 2006 by kb7kuh Quote

Big Blue Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 What doesnt seem right? It will directy replace your stock one, you will still need to adjust your clutch after you put it on. Quote
steveodo Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 is this what it looks like when done, the nut dont sit in the hub? Quote
Hilarious Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 is this what it looks like when done, the nut dont sit in the hub? Yessir, thats what mine looks like., Actually mine has a direct drive lockup unit on top of the pressure plate. lol  YOu did put a washer between the pancake bearing and pressure plate, didnt you? Just checkin, it goes: top hat (adjuster thing), pancake bearing, washer, press plate, washer and nut. At least, thats what I was told. Lol Quote
