13th Grave
Well before this happened it ran awesome and I brought it home and turned off the gas like usual. The next day I go to kick it over and it feels like it's locked up. I notice gas coming out of the head pipes were it connects to the silencers. So I pull my plugs, there soaked of course and I kick it over with the plugs out and just tons of gas was shooting out. I figured if I let it sit with the plugs out it would dry up but it didn't it's been going on for three days now and I don't know how it keeps getting in the cylinders with the gas off. locogato11283
you are sure the gas is off? if your floats arent adjusted properly the needle may not close all the way and they can keep on running and fill your cylinders up, but the gas would prolly need to be on. Animalman294
First off the fuel line goes down to the carbs and will fill the bowls to overflow tubes. Second, wouldn't it evaporate all the fuel away and the oil would stay behind. And thirdly your coolant water fills the head and cylender jackets. From what you said I think you need to check for a water leak, and it may seem like it is fuel because it has the residual in there that makes it smell like it, but I'll bet it is water and you have a leak. If you get water in the cylender it wont fire and when the cylender tries to compress you push the piston up as far as it will go, but because of the water it wont go all the way. The reason for this is you can compress air (normal operation) but you can't compress water (it acts like a solid). So it will act like a seizure, but it should move freely with the plugs out. Anyway just a thought, hope it works out for ya.............. Edited May 29, 2006 by Animalman294
