Pipes_R_Us?

It sounds like you may be trying to find that best all around pipe. The pipes are usually designed for a specific purpose or portion of the powerband, or types of mods. CPI's, Shearer's, Rocket are drag pipes and like higher hp motor's, but ones like T-6's like more stock applications. It depends on what you plan on doing in the future..........

Shearer...all the way. Your stock motor will not be able to take advantage of them...but, Port your stocker, it'll be better.

Cheetah or cub motor...that's where they'll really shine.

I know Rockets have a new owner, who I believe is 12 to 15 weeks backed up...I'd steer clear of them until the new owner proves to be honest and trustworthy...

Too much history of hassle on the old ones. (Although...Ray is a great, stand up guy IMO...)

I got some toys to buy first (carbs, ignition, dunable override) then...Shearers will be on my Cub...

Shearer or Grand River.Off the shelf they are the top choice.

Your best bet is gonna be to call Matt and have some custom pipes built to your motor. It dont get any better than a pipe built for the motor.

I was thinking of getting a custom set made. About how much do they cost?

You could get a set of CPI's from gopartsdirect.com for $550 shipped. Thats what I'd probably run. If you want to be a little different then you could go shearer Rocket or GRR but all of these pipes are fairly similar. I have a nice set of rockets that I have been thinking of selling. PM me if interested.
