thegroup
Like the title says, going from my FMF's to my buddy's T6's. His 03 4mil is still down, so im going to use his pipes to see how much of a diff there really is until he gets me parts to get his back on the road. Needing to know if i need to get bigger jets. currently running 195 main and 60 pilot in 35mm single carb from trinity with boyseen dual stage. My buddy is running the same setup, so if need be, ill use his jets. thanks for any info
race-a-holic
Not sure on the jetting, but I hated the T-6's I tried. You may like them though.
Animalman294
Runnin' T-6's on a 4mil . I heard from people that have used them and posts on here that those pipes were designed to give better hp to stock shee's not modded bikes. So, don't be surprised if you don't like them...... dajogejr
HE doesn't have a 4mil...read his post, he has a relativelystock motor (other than a new crank, stock stroke and a dune port, which could mean about anything...)... It's his buddy's 4 mil. I've read alot about t6's not being good on built motors. Even Toomey's site says so. However...until someone actually dyno's these pipes against eachother...I think it's going to be user preference... That being said, I love my T5s...and they still make good power on my 4 mil cub. With a carb meant for more low end and pipes meant for mid to top, you're either going to have a killer combo you like...or it's going to unbalance it and you won't... cdwood37
I had t-6's on my cub for a while and they suck for cubs, i put shearers on it and when i took it for a spin it ran twice as good but when my shee was mostly stock they were badass. dajogejr
Send me the T6 and FMFs, and 50 bucks to cover dyno time. I'll be happy to give you a report how they run on my cub... Bottom line is...your porting may agree with your pipes, it may not...only one way to find out. Good luck...

thegroup
alright, heres an update. got it running and ran really good. was cutting out a little on the top-end, but im just thinking it is the carb my be clogged, but thats the least of my probs. my clutch was shot, so i put a new one in, rode for about 20 min and all of a sudden, it starts acting like the clutch is shot again. tore it down completely but everything looks good. fuck, just my luck u can take the clutch base (with the tranny in 1st gear) and turn it almost half way before it finally catches. so now ive got to figure out what tha fuck happened. think im going to go ahead and get a shift cam and go from there
dajogejr
Either way, you're removing the basket. Between the basket and the gear there are 6 rubber hockey puck looking cushions. I'd bet one or more is either severly worn...or shot/gone/finito alltogether... It might be time for a new basket, get a hold of Jeff @ FAST and get his. It's a Magnum I think, and it comes with new pucks. I replaced my fibers and steels, along with springs last year. Beat on 'em good...and I figured once I was sinking the $$ into my motor, it was inner/outer and basket time! Just a thought...good luck!! dajogejr
That's about how mine looked when I pulled it out the first time. I took a die grinder and scothbrite pad and lightly removed 'em...temporarily.... I don't think those little grooves would cause the kind of slop your talking 'bout... Put that ball bearing for the clutch rod someplace safe. I drove around ALL OVER looking for one, no one was even close. Then, got back home and sifted by oil drain pan side to side, only to hear it rolling around...
