Shee-Male
The internet. Nonreligious/Secular +110% Judaism -10% Islam +109% Buddhism +170% Agnostic -16% Atheist No Significant Change Hinduism +237% Unitarian Universalist +25% Wiccan/Pagan/Druid No Significant Change Spiritualist No Significant Change Native American Religion +119% Baha'i +200% New Age +240% Sikhism +338% Scientology +2% Humanist +69% Deity (Deist) 717% Taoist +74% Eckankar +44% Thats pretty cool Push. You know, Agnostics are just Atheists without balls :baseball_w00t: The Baha'i faith is interestin though, they rope all the religions together into one common faith, it if you wanted to find a faith from a completly neutral standpoint, it seems the most belivable. The non religious grow every year, there is far to much fact and information available for people to belive in story, they have far to many other things to worry about. On my way to my father in-laws b-day today, I passed 6 churches and thought to myself, instead of wasting all that realetate why not make it a park, cancer treatment center, community center, or a gym instead of a building that gets used 1 or 2 times a week. These churches are HUGE and only get used to a fraction of their capacity, its a shame. These are also the same churches that don't pay tax yet require so many people to give their hard earned money to pay for the amount of space they use...I'll never understand that. There are peices of the bible that the church dosn't want us to see so that the steapled casino cult can feed off weak people. The bible was translated by greedy people, people that don't give a shit about the world, thats why there is such a stir about the Da Vinci code, what if there was a bloodline of Christ?, and what if we tracked it and found out he was just as mortal as all of us?, there is no way any religious pusher man would let the world know and miss out on the billions of dollars they con from belivers, nor would they want to loose the "battle" to another faith. Atheisim, a non profit orginization.
Cotton eyed Joe
im pretty sure eating a peanut butter sandwich doesnt make you a badass either Oddly enough, I ate 3 of them yesterday. banshee04le
Sorry brooke. I just thought that your answer to his question was a little bit cold and arrogant and it surprised me. brooke:you act like being against religion and bashing god makes you so badass and tough. like youre so evil and offensive to everyone. well, you arent. Does that mean that you think that "evil and offensive" is badass, because that is just what you implied here, give or take on the semantics. Ok I will leave you alone. What do you say we all try to leave our ego's at home while we continue here?

rkc
If anybody is worried about their brain tuning to mush (justified) since their are good minds here that need saving. I would like to suggest alternative reading to sharpen all of our debateing skills(not to abandon this echo chamber but to return to fourm)If you go to LEADERU.COM (sorry no link) punch in WILLIAM LANE CRAIG it will take you to his virtual office and you can go from there to his transcribed debates. He is considered to be the worlds greatest debator (not master)by both his admirers and critics alike .To be fair I must warn you it can be dry reading until you see somthing in it for yourself BETTER SKILLS more knowledge etc... you of course will here great minds on either side (BHQ is funner though!) banshee04le
The bible was translated by greedy people, people that don't give a shit about the world, Actually the Bible has been translated by all scholarly types from archeologists to theologians. As RJV and others have said, religion is a man made concept. I don't go to any church at all. You don't have to to know God. Jesus said: 6:1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. 6:2 Therefore when thou doest [thine] alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread. 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Heb.10:25 let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Actually you are wrong brooke. Envy is one of the most subtle and destructive forces of satan and when you feel that I am "showing how big my cock is" by sharing a little wisdom from the bible you should ask yourself where that is coming from because it is very negative. rkc a good church or fellowship of some type is certainly good for edification in the Word but I don't know why you would want to insert division against what Jesus clearly states in Matthew 6. I know you don't think that someone has to go to church to be saved by the blood of Christ so why don't we start with that. I know that you meant no harm and I hope that I haven't offended you.
