PUSH THE THROTTLE
Quick Fact: In the US, the number of non-religious people has more than doubled from 14.3 million in 1990 to 29.4 million in 2001; their proportion has grown from just eight percent of the total in 1990 to over fourteen percent in 2001. Did you know that the 1990 survey used 113,000 people? The 2001 survey used only 50,000. Did you know there are almost 300 million people in the US? So in other words a survey of an insignificant fraction of a percent of people was supposed to represent the whole.
