Rebuild time

Recommended Posts

Rebuild time came faster then i thought. Where is the best place to get my parts from?

It has the Cool Head so what gasket set do i need? ( Sorry if stupid ass questions)

I am going to replace the pistons of course with Wiseco's hopefuly i caught it in time to be able to use standard bore but if not whatever is the next size will work.

As for the seals. While I have it a part I want to change seals so any suggestions on which ones i should replace please tell me.

It had a piston slap when i got it so i am thinking that rod baring and wrist pin should take care of that? If not please tell me.

This is going to be the first time I have done this so please help with any info you can.

This sucks :( I was really hoping this would of lasted until winter.. :(

I wish I could order the parts the pull it a part but thats not going to happen not knowing whats on the inside. WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

What a stupid ass! The asshole that rebuilt this motor didnt put one of the wrist pin clips in and it fucked up the walls so bad it has to be resleaved. (how ever its spelled) and the other piston broke on the intake side. WHAT A MESS!

I will post pics this weekend.

You can have someone measure the cylinder, and see how much they have been bored. It's probably going to be a lot cheaper, to pick up another cylinder, or a pair of cylinders, versus having them re-sleeved. With all of the people running Cub cylinders, there should be quite a few on Ebay, or maybe someone in here has a good set. If you just have the bad cylinder re-sleeved, then it will have to be bored out, to match the other one, which will waste some bore sizes. Having both re-sleeved, will cost more than a set of good used cylinders.

for the money youll spend getting all the measuring and resleeving done you can buy a good used set on e-bay or something cheaper.

Thank you. Thats what I was asking. I dont know how much it costs to get one resleeved. I seen on ebay that a sleeve was 65 bucks and the machine guy that lives around me is on vacation until Monday. I want to figure out the route to take so i can get it shipped to me.

Is there a way to tell how much it was bored the first time by the numbers on the piston? Top says C00C1 middle 513M06525 The under that it has CD
