Putting the Shee back together tonight

The woodruff key broke off last year and marked up the crank groove pretty good. a year later Im putting everythign back together.

Heres the stupid "Q"

Is there a way I can make sure the key will stay in place. especially since its surfaces are not 100%

Get some 400 grit or finer lapping compound. Very lightly coat the round side of the key with the paste and slip it into the groove. Wipe up any excess without moving the key. Shouldn't move then.
