Thanks 516486 i removed my tors with tors elmination kit i got off ebay, much better looking and easier to work with. it doesnt increase power at all or hurt anything. tors is only for dumb drivers, rookies. about the vforce reeds, i hear they increase some nice power. some people said different. some say its not worth the money. but i cant really say much on the vforce reeds, since i dont have experience with them yet. 8buck
It's just a safety thing in case your carbs stick open. No change in power, woun't hurt the motor. V-Force more power, yes, worth the money, depends on your mods. I've heard of 6 hp gains on ported and piped Banshees! Bansh88
Removing the TORS makes your Banshee that much simpler. It will be one less (make that 2 less) things to worry about. Your bikes engine will look a lot cleaner. You'll also be eliminating about 1-2 lbs. I have V force 2 and 3 on my '02 and '06 respectively. No big differences. Makes the powerband smooth out and power nicely. Good addition to the bike if you can afford them. The money could be spent elsewhere in the motor. But it is an easy bolt-on application. Banshee_19
What is a tors anyways?
Walleye
What is a tors anyways? 516532 Throttle Override System it prevents if the slides are stuck open, and will shut down the engine or something. i dont know the exact details, it just prevents something like runaway motor. but experienced riders would know what to do, just kill the switch, or slam on the rear brakes. mudpuppy
Also because the parkbrake is easy to leave on the tors kicks when the park brake is set.
csrmel
imo, main reason for tors removal is to lessen the pressure needed on the thumb throttle. otherwise, tors is actually a good idea and would help prevent you from blowing up a motor if one of youre carbs sticks. tors doesnt weigh much, maybe 1lb, 2 at most. dajogejr
Had more problems that good with TORS. They add too many problems to diagnose if you start having problems... Once I removed my buddies TORS and put K&N pod filters on...he just sat there, and was like...that's it? Did you forget to put something back...as he looked at the pile of parts on the floor.
