coffeyville shodeo & drags

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody I am one of the guys who put together the drags and shodeo west of coffeyville. I would like to send out a hugh thanks to all those who attended. I would also like to apologize about some of the race conditions and the hold ups between events. everything was just thrown together due to the weather, plus it was the first event we put together ourselves. We will be having another shodeo and drags the end of june, it looks like the date will be sunday the 25th, I am waiting on the final ok from mike the owner of the arena. We are going to redo out original drag strip and make it alot better, ( wider with more shutdown) we are also trying to get sand to lay down about 150ft past the finish line for a final shutdown area. We want to try it out and see how it works. I am glad to see that wes wasnt hurt real bad and we are going to do all we can to make things as safe as possible. We want all the big hp quads to be able to run here.

wes was banged up good according to pics i saw ,looks like your shutdown was way to short and unsafe .yo u should make the race 500 feet instead of just 300,let those high ponied motors shine .

we are probably going to stay with the 300ft format for now, if these get big and we get alot of 100 plus hp bikes wanting to run we might look into it. As far as the shut down room at the last event, like I said b4 it was an impromto strip we decent room but the big problem was it was downhill after the finish and the grass was wet. The next event will be 100 times better.
