mikestudley1
i usually ride on tight trails and would like to know what is the best jetting, gas, pipe set up i can do to get more of the lower end power... i have t-5's which from what i understand are more of a top end pipe... i was just curious on all your opinions of what to do to run tight trails with the 4 strokes .... PS: im having no problems in the open
Kunda
Id say slap on some FMF Gnarly pipes. Had a buddy wit sum once and they made his bike bout as torquey as a 4-stroke. Granted, im not quite sure what other mods he had dun but from what ive heard fer tight trails the gnarly pipes are really da ticket. dajogejr
Save your money... Get a lightened flywheel and timing advance plate...those T5s will be a whole new pipe, for less than 100 bucks and it will be a great trail MOTOR... Spend your money on suspension if you want to hang with those 4 strokes in trails...they are light years beyond the near 20 year old geometry and suspension that is currently on banshees...period. Also...the right setup, tires and air pressue help too.
Animalman294
I agree with dajogejr (what the hell does that stand for anyway ). I had my flywheel lightened by boonman, and it allowed the motor to spool up into the powerband a lot faster ( the blue band I think ). But it doesn't give you anymore hp it just allows you to get there quicker. I've been runnin' the T-5's and for a non drag pipe I think they are great pipes, especially against my dad's FMF Fatty's. Try the flywheel and if you have the money the T-5's will love a set of VF3's. Boonman will also do the shift star mod which allows you to hit nuetral with the Shee runnin. PM Boony for prices........He's a good guy to deal with......... Edited May 12, 2006 by Animalman294
dajogejr
I agree with dajogejr (what the hell does that stand for anyway ). 515132[/snapback] First two letters of my first, middle and last name, and I'm a Jr.... I'm not creative enough to think of a good screen name...and any decent one is usually taken. This one is odd enough...any board I visit, usually it's good to go... Boonman is a great guy to deal with...quick to respond and he does good work!!
