cdwood37
What would cause the vent tube to drip oil out of it? my buddy has pro circuit pipes vforce3 reeds k&t coolhead and 35.5mm mikuni carbs. oil just drips if not pours out of his vent hose like half a quart in four hours of riding what the heck is wrong with it? cdwood37
just changed the oil and brand new heavy duty barnett clutch. It also started to overheat along with leaking oil could it be the water pump seal?
cdwood37
ok we put a new water pump and seal, changed the oil and put in the right amount blew air through all the lines and it all is fine. he rode it for about thirty minutes and it still bled out just a little bit what could it be? it runs great everything seems to be fine its good oil, bel-ray 85w i am out of ideas, and there is no oil coming out of the silencer either
Shee-Male
could be the seal or maybee the pump itself?

ScrewMachine
Could be the crank seal. That would explain the leak...pressurizing the case and forcing oil out the vents....and why it's running hot... lean air/fuel mixture. You said there was no oil coming out of the pipe, which is a bit odd if this is the case, but I've seen stranger things. If you've already checked that, I'm at a loss. Don't think it's the water pump seal though, oil would be milky if that's leaking.
