race-a-holic
Boost bottles are useless.Don't waste your money on one. People have different opinions on the pipe question. For a stock banshee, the Toomey T-5 works really good.It will also work well with other mods. I hated the T-6 but some other people may like them. I don't ride in much water so I always junk the stock airbox and use two K&N filters that clamp directly onto the carbs. Just my 2 cents. harry66
i dont ride near water or sand , just grass fields and woods. there is so much to choose from out there but i dont no which will give the best performance upgrade.
Walleye
i love my FMF Fatties and FMF powercore 2 muffler, well i have never seen Toomeys or used it. I would say get pipes, muffler, k&n filter, remove the lid for now and get filter sock. bump your jetting too when you mod it. these mods should give good punch! as for tires, i have Maxxis Razr and they work great. Holeshot is good too. If you plan to go over logs, big bumps, rough terrain, i would suggest you to invest in full skid plate and swign arm skid plate, to protect your frame and other compents. mollett89
do not remove the airbox lid with stock filter the lid holds the filter in place you need to get and adaptor plate and new filter to run without the lid
Hilarious
First thing to do is get rid of the stock air filter and get a clamp-on air filter set up. THen get some pipes that suit your riding style.
IamKazam
bought an 06 banshee, my first one . looking to mod it but not sure whats best . what is the best pipes and filter for performance ?? and whats the best tires? also do boost bottles actually work ? 510864[/snapback] Pipes and air filter setup will depend on your riding style Lots of options there. Kenda Klaws IMO No, boost bottles are a waste. You can get a Ricky Stator adjustable timing plate for almost the same price and see a noticable gain in performance. Toomey Banshee
To start with: 1. Twin K & N filters 2. T-5's 3. cool head with 21 or 20 cc domes 4. razr rear tires 5. v-force reeds or port the stock reed cages with carbon fiber reeds That should hold you till the top end goes, then get her ported and start all over again with: 1. bigger carbs 33 or 35 A/S come to mind 2. bigger K & N's 3. CPI or Shearer pipes 4. smaller domes 17's or 18's 5. various and meaningless bling I guess what I'm trying to say is......... IT NEVER EVER FRIGGIN STOPS!! Good luck and welcome to the addiction. You shouldnt have a problem with the 450's and Raptors. Especially if your trail and woods riding. Ive seen slower bikes beat faster ones simply because of the rider. It comes down to skill mostly when your in those tight riding situations.
