bansheeseat$$
You will be able to keep up with him no problem with a longer swinger and good paddles. Hell I ride with a guy with a 10mil TRex shearer pipes 41mm carbs and he will jump me out of the hole every time but once we start climbing the hill I will only be maybe 2 or 3 lenghts behind him at the top. Sometimes if he takes off shitty I'm right next to him at the top. Mines a runnin SOB though and I got some little tricks I do to my junk that gives me a little more. At this point of my 'shee It wouldn't even be a race now.Like I said before I had a single 38mm carb set up and inframes with the V-paddles and stock swinger.I would love to be able to run your buddys 10 mil trex,I would bet I would take him also. rocketboy
cubs love shearer drag pipes.... cubs love high ignition timing like +7 or more ....cubs love dual big carbs like 36mm and up
dajogejr
cubs love high ignition timing like +7 or more Couldn't agree more. I'm hoping to get some dyno time to program my dyna and get the results. I know...a dyno won't pass you on a track...but, it helps comparing mods and stuff like this. I run my plate at +8 plus the #2 curve on the dyna... Will do a writeup once I get a chance to play with the curves and settings....
Bansheeboytrun
the bigger stroke crank wont make that much of a difference, not 3 lengths, u definately need to cut your front fenders off that drags you down horribly...

pabansheematt
I do have cpi's on it.The single carb on this actually pulls on the top better then dual carbs do. I find it hard to believe 1 carb will pull better on the top end then a 2 carb set up?
bansheeseat$$
Holy shit! This post is from '06 hahaha, that's digging DEEP. WOW,Flash back lol. I find it hard to believe 1 carb will pull better on the top end then a 2 carb set up? I was refering to having the stock carbs on it verses the single 38mm NOT the bigger dual carb setups just for the record. At the end of that quads life it ended up runing 4.3's @ 78mph in 300 feet.I sold it last febuary. Snopczynski
I do have cpi's on it.The single carb on this actually pulls on the top better then dual carbs do. Can you list out every mod that is done to your bike kind of like this, and we can help you with some suggestions? I would like to know EVERYTHING, even chassis mods, shifter, clutch perch, etc...... EXAMPLE: -Dynoport ported stock cylinders 188 degree exhaust duration -Pro Design Coolhead with 18cc domes (185psi comp) -Dyna Ignition with custom programmed curve -Stock reed cages with carbon tech mid tension reeds -Dual 28mm Mikuni TM flatslide carbs with K&N Pods -Shaved stock flywheel -Cascade Clutch kit with the roller bearing ball end adjuster -Dyna coil with NGK Plug Caps -Stock Crank -Wiseco Pistons (stock bore), squish setup at .043" -Pro Circuit pipes with the standard silencers (ceramic coated) -BR8ES spark Plugs -110 octane sunoco with castor 927 at 40:1 -Stock intakes and stock boost bottle -22x11x8 super light 10 paddle haulers on .125" thick douglas rims. -13/46 gearing -Cascade billet shifter -front dual rib steer tires -home made double footpegs -swingarm (+6) -stock axle, stock hubs, stock a-arms. Need to keep it skinny to fit between the trees.
