crebble
hi guys... ive been checking out tons of posts here but havent found any with my questions so ill put a new topic for it. my questions is since i have paul turner high rev exhaust pro design mx filter and i think i have some upgraded reeds (dont know wich tho) i live in sweden and it kinda suxx since we dont have as many shee freaks here as in the US and we dont have any mega experts in these engines either afaik. i am thinking of puttin on a badass pair 35mm carburettors and buy boyesen reeds and was wondering if it would do any good with those carbs AND if they have the "inspection" glass as the stock ones have (for syncronisation) i will also probably bore it a bit in the end of this year and check if there are any firms in sweden that can port it a bit. were also thinkin about the paul turner exhaust since i havent seen any on this forum using it if it has any special reason that people dont use it? if the others are better etc... personaly i think my bike hauls ass thankfull for some help /crebb Edited April 26, 2006 by crebble

hittintrees srh
im not sure if your gunna want to get bigger carbs yet-with the mods you have so far, they might not be worth the money... instead, why not get a Noss head and a rickey stator adjustable timming plate- both those mods combined would be cheaper then carbs. after you get it ported then bigger carbs will be a good investment. as for now, start with the basics and go from there. welcome to the HQ
JKJK
Without porting the 35's would hurt performance not help.As far as the Paul Turners go they are exellent pipes with a very smooth+predictable power spread.Welcome to the hq

hittintrees srh
how high is your compression right now???? as long as you stay under 160 or so, you wont need race fuel.
crebble
i will have to check it up before i order tho... im fixing the rear drive part atm and i have the machine 130 km away from here + i dont have the tools for compression at home so i will need to borrow those tools from a friend... the thing is that i dont really know if the other owner modded anything except exhaust, airfilter and reeds (dont know wich reeds tho) so i will prob check it up when its time for a piston change. we have 95/98 octane as standard in sweden and if im correct i think you have lower octane amount in the US? btw ive found 1 atv site in sweden that has mods for shee's tho they seem to have duncan only! /crebb
