-2 swingarm

Depends on what kind of climbing... If your doing it competition style like the clark's do then it's prolly not too good of an idea... I loved mine for the short amount of hills I climbed on my 'shee... Just get up on the front end and 'shee can billy goat up the hill... I've stopped on a hill with mine... it's nice being able to take back off without having to spin back down....

I tried the -2 and seemed a little to much for woods riding. I went with a -1 that helped alot with turning through the trees and straight line hook up. You do loose travel as your arc becomes less. You will notice it a little. Just send your shock to shane to have it done right with your set up.

i have a -2 incher on mine and I like it. You gotta pay attention if your on a steep hill or a hill with good traction, the front end gets light.

see if this helps answer your question... I got hills all over the place here, i live right on the side of a mountain :headbang: ... theres' this one big hill I like to rip up, its 60 yards of rocks and steep all the way to the top. I used to hit this hill up with my standard length swingarm all the time, I know how to ride this hillclimb, I know how the quad reacts to the hill, I know where the big rocks are hidden, etc etc... the front end was light but the front tires stayed on the ground for most of the climb. With the -2 swingarm on I could immediatly see a difference on the hill. Now the front tires just skimmed the ground.... hill is 60 yards long.... wick the throttle and she'll wheelie at will, its kinda dangerous if your not used to riding a big bore banshee with a shorty swingarm up a big rocky hill :D You need to be paying attention, pay attention and the -2 is great for climbing. I prefer the -2 over stock for this particular hillclimb. :shrugani: I like riding on the edge of that wheelie, flyin up the hill. Its just more fun'er :D

im with Meat its a different feel, but as he said for the better........ something he forgot to mention is on those hills he's climbing where he has to negotiate rocks and ruts and stuff,(ive seen where he rides its damm near pure shail) he can also stop and take off again so if you do need to billy goat hills youve got it with the -2, for a straight out get a 50 yard start and drag up a smooth hill it wouldnt be as noticeable, but over a long whoop section if you are on a beefed shee the lift you get makes all the difference in the world, instead of pinning it on a stock swinger and haveing the tires spinn and plowing into whoops the -2 when you gas it the front end lifts making tracking over ruff stuff a breeze, the benifits of a negitive swinger are many............

do you have to run +2 a arms, or would you be fine with the stock width?

you dont have to but i would...the geomitry of a stock banshee chassis blows for any kind of terrain, if you extend the front 2 inches and shorten the rear two inches your kinda back where you started from wheel base wise except your not as heavy in the front, thats why guys like the aftermarket frame your closer to the geomitry of a honda 250R, which if you raced any you know that little bike scurrys over rough stuff......
