Justintoxicated
Yea they works , not sure I buy into the hype of there black window and higher series though, I went and looked at them but for the same price you can get elkas with more adjustability and stronger bodies and probably better springs and valving (just not a dual line to the rez which is a cool idea BTW). Elkas are a litle bitter if you have the cash and can get a deal on them IMO, plus you can have the revalved as well later on and have a superior shock body. If your planing to have them re-done by TCS you could just buy shocks from TCS for about the same price, and they would probably have better springs as well as better valving. What did you hear was bad about works anyways? Edited May 11, 2006 by Justintoxicated
kb7kuh
You might think about YFZ 450 shocks. I put them on my Banshee and love them. I have a friend that has duel rated Works and I can't tell much difference. We ride dunes only, no trail riding.
ThE_BaNsHeE_mAn88
well i want to get something that will work good for everything i mostly just hit jumps and some fast field riding jumping off of hills. i want to eather get works triple rates with rezys or tripple rate elkas without rezys. i heard that the works shocks feel like the only thing holding them up are the springs. dont know if that is true or not but thats what i heard. rx7500hpt2
This might be an isolated insodent but I bought some regular daul rate steelers, after a few months the shafts rusted. I only got to use them on 3 trips. Didn't want to spend over $300 I was quoted to fix and respring(for longer arms) so I bought some yfz shocks. Again shafts rusting probably isn't a very common problem.
Justintoxicated
get dual rates if you want them for jumping, on the stock banshees or even with +2 arms the shocks are too short for a 3rd spring to make much diference and will basicaly jsut lower the ride heigth and give you less usable suspension (for jumping). Triplle rate on the banshee is more for MX. That said tripple rate should still work fine if your MUST have it.
