01bansheefox
I have like 3 broken bolts in my frame so I might as well get them out, What is the best and cheapest way to remove them? Please list the items I need to buy and the sizes, Do i just get a drill bit 1 size smaller than the bolt or how does it work?
fastbanshee8
You will need to get some E-Z Outs and some drill bits. We have a set of E-Z Outs at work. The one we have has three different sizes in it, and each one will remove several different bolt sizes. You will need to center punch the bolts and drill them out, big enough to start the E-Z Out, then put a wrench on the end of the E-Z Out, and turn it counter clock-wise to remove the broken bolt. Tools needed; Center punch E-Z Out(s) Hammer Drill bits and drill Cresent wrench or box end, to fit the E-Z Out
01bansheefox
Seems fairly easy, gonna head down to the store now to pick them up.
fastbanshee8
Before you try to remove the broken bolts with the E-Z Out, you might want to spray some "Panther Piss", WD-40, Liquid Wrench, etc, on the bolts. Might make things a little easier.
DIRTMAN350
Depending on where the broken bolts are at i would try a left hand drill bit and see if it will 'oull it out. Have had good luck in the past using them. alot depends on how long it has been broke off and how much rust is around it.
Walleye
Other way is if you have a mig welder around you, you can get a old nut and make sure the hole is same size as the broken bolt in there, and place it on top of it, and weld the nut all filled up, let it cool down completely until you can touch it. and then use a socket and remove it! viola!
