DaFish
i took my bike to trinity today to get dynoed and tuned and was talkin to him about porting and he said it would be about 450 for a all around good trail/desert/dune and the he said i need to get a cool head to i told him i was gunna get a noss head and he said that i would need to change out studs and on top of that it would "strip the cylinders" and mess some other things up. so he told me i had to get a trinity stage four head. i think its bullshit but i wanna know what all you guys think about that. thanks for your input. hittintrees srh
No dude, he's right-it's EVERYBODY else on banshee hq thats lying about how awsome noss heads are I mean come on, if ya can't trust someone like that, who the hell can ya trust OK seriously, have you ever read or heard anybody say anything negative about "noss" products
lowriderb
theres always the possibility that you could pull a stud out with any head or set up.. but the noss machine head and trinity heads both use the stock studs.. so no reason to pull them out.. its not his fault everything trinity sells is better than anything you can buy from somewhere else.. he's just being a salesman.. BansheeBrian
Wow,what a mindjob that Trinity henchman put on you..Noss machine has sold a zillion heads with little complaints.I have one on my 421 cubs and it looks insane and are easy to work with. sheefreak
Also remember that Trinity domes have a... lets say proprietary design. If you are off riding for a weekend and for whatever reason need different size domes, or an o-ring set, you can't just buy coolhead, or noss domes, or other similar designs that just aren't as popular. And if you ever build a stroker, or just need a custom profile cut, trinity blanks are $40 a piece, and a shop is going to get you for another 70-80 for machine work. I think you can buy a cut set of domes for a stroker that works w/just about all the other removable dome, aftermarket heads for less than the cost of the blanks. I would tell Trinity to get bent on the head, and stick to what you asked them to do. P.S. I run a Trinity head I thought I got a good deal on, I learned the hard way. Cotton eyed Joe
I thought with a NOSS head you didn't have to change studs. After the stories I've heard, what the hell are you doing going to Trinity for anything?
Wicked98Shee
trinity fuckin sux man, they don't seem to build anything that run's real strong unless it's a 1 off specialty bike. thier stuff isn't any better than anyone elses, they're just try'n to sell you on thier bullshit. noss heads are just plain out sweet ... i run a prodesign but im gettin ready to do another build and it WILL be runnin a noss head .... if ya wanna real port job call passion or fast ....i hear fast does some great work too . trinity will charge you for a pro level motor and send ya a fuckin lame ass slopoke. I also have not had problems w/my Trinity head, just cost too much when there is something just as good or better at a better price.

I managed to strip out 4 Acorn nuts because there wasn't enough stud to grab. Consequently...I purchased 10 new studs (not dealer or yamaha studs) and Noss sent me some kick ass Chromie 13mm acorn studs (yes...I paid for them and overnight shipping)... Too bad the new studs are too long to use 'em. I'm going to post them in the for sale...they are suwheet!! I got this kick ass NOSS head with stock head nuts on it...
