If you havent heard in his wise words Senator Mccain was defending illegal immigration saying we need these people for work like this and he went on to say to the crowd of union leaders, construction workers and all kinds of hard working people that he would pay 50 dollars an hour to pick lettuce and insisted none of them or any americans would do it, well i for one would be happy to quit my job and start making 50 dollars an hour turns out we may not need all these immigrants after all. I bet that fucker couldn't do my job for what I get paid. How about that? Pick lettuce in Yuma for $50/hr?? Thats WAY WAY more than what I make now and would be worth the trip to close down the shop for 3 months. I'd work 10 hour days too. And I'd be just as productive there as I am here. Shit I'd probably work 6 days per week like I do now. What would that work out to be? 50x10x6=$3000 per week. Thats $12000 per month. Thats nearly half my take home in a year. The UAW around here protects the lazy and the ass bags that milk the clock and the system. I'm not saying all of those workers in skilled trades are lazy. My friends are ALL carpenters, electricians, plumbers...floor layers, etc. They work their ass off... However...these guys that make 28 to 35 bucks an hour to work at the UAW lines are mostly a joke. I'm not saying all UAW employees are bad...but, I've seen a lot of bad apples on that tree. "Hey...we're going to lay you off, but...you still get 85% of your pay and benefits"... With shit like that going around...how can you not be a lazy...SOB? That being said...I'd pick the lettuce and put it on your bugers along with your order of fries for 50 bucks an hour... Did you ever get the job appliaction in the mail? Id give up my whole summer break to work for $50 an hour, anyday. It beats $6 dollars an hour that I worked for last summer.
