race-a-holic
One of my friends had a great idea to put on a race at St.Joe State Park. Please keep it quiet. This is not considered a sanctioned event so if you show up please don't be asking the park officials about it.There will be a small fee.I think like around $5.The classes are still being decided. Not sure on a date, but it will be in probably about a month or less.Be thinking about it. race-a-holic
For right now, there will be 4 stroke and 2 stroke classes. They will try to make it fair as possible but keep in mind that too many classes gets to be too much to keep track of. 23champ
Sounds like a good time. Whats the track like? How long, and how much shut down? Dirt, or sand?
race-a-holic
It's actually at an atv park.I think it will be 400 ft.They'll probably just find the smoothest spot they can.The park changes like most do.Looks like 4 strokes and 2 strokes will be in the same class. These rules might change later on after this race to see how it goes. Here's what my friend posted: Guys this is Great how everybody is talking and trying to come up with ideas...I love it... But, Now were making this to complicated....LOL This being the First Race....Just start small.... Just remember: 2 Classes: Unlimited Class: (The definition) What ever you have done to your bike is Ok.... Anything....and it better be Fast... (Drag Frames, Nitrous, Turbine engine from a Apache Helicoptor......The faster the Better...) You know what i mean...LOL Open Mod Class: (The Definition) 2 stroke or 4 stroke Atv or Atc (no dirt bikes) Stock style frame....(You can have a extended swingarm) Stock style engine...(No aftermarket cylinder heads) This applies to 2 strokes... But you can have any size Stroke Crankshaft.... Any Carbs....Must be Gas...or Race Gas.... No Nitrous No Nitromethane No wheelie bars No override transmissions Any style tires you would like.... That should cover it for the most part.... Most of you guys i know what kinda engine your running.... This race has been designed to seperate the men from the Boys.....LOL If you race and do not win....We will be doing this 1 race a month....So the bragging right are always up for grabs.... To everyone i hope this works out and we all have have Fun!!!! May your Pockets become deep and your bikes become lighter.... Thanks... Keep talking it up... (I think we all could use a little cash$$$$$$)

In the open mod class, you can have a stroker crank but no aftermarket head? Who's gonna put a stroker crank in and no porting or aftermarket head? If you get porting with the crank (which most people do), you're not gonna leave the stock head on there...it just seems kind of retarded to me If those are the rules, I'm definitely not gonna waste my time going...I'd be running with the all the folks with their flux capacitors and shit and the only thing putting me in that class would be my Noss head

Big Blue
Wether or not you have a aftermarket head shouldnt matter a stock head can be modified. There should be a 350 class, stroker class and then ulimited. What boltons you have shouldnt matter. Why gas only some people arent setup to run gas? Why no overrides? Why no nitro? race-a-holic
I wish the classes were different.I gave my opinion, but they make the rules.I do agree with them that it should be kept simple. They will probably make some different classes after this one. It's double elimination so I'll probably be put out after 2 races. We could always go somewhere else in the park.I will want to watch some of the races though. If my bikes not running,I won't go. Edited April 14, 2006 by race-a-holic

ridenfast03
if it is a state park why are u charging 5 bucks. are u goin to have a payback or wat. if no this is a pretty rediculous way to make money. and it would be rather silly to pay becuase its a state park and u already pay to ride thier with ur tax money.... so stick with BIG BLUE and just show up and race.
